Major Error and CMS is not working correctly now

I was in CMS on Friday adding some fields to my table called baby_guide. All of a sudden, it would not add the field and then I got an error message (which I attached to this post) saying Warning: only 0 out of 1461 bytes written…possibly out of free disk space. Then I lost all the fields that I had created. Then I tried to add another new table and got the same error message. What is strange, is I checked the database using phpadmin and the table and fields are still there. However, when I login to my cms admin panel in the section editors, the table is no longer there or connected with the database. It shows two fields at the top of the section editors panel: one is babyguide, which is the second I tried to create that I want to delete but it will not let me modify or delete it. The other is baby_guide which is the one that I had all of my fields in which I would like to keep without having to recreate it since it is still in the database but it will not let me modify that either. I also checked with my web host and we have an unlimited amount of disk space with our databases so I know that is not the issue. The other issue is that now when I go to the section editors in the admin, it will now let me add a new table but I cannot drag the menus around to place them where I would like. When I try to do that I get the following error message: " no can't find schema file for table 'babyguide' " I did delete this table in the actual database. This error comes up whenever I try to drag and move any menu name.

Do you have an idea what may have happened or how to fix these in the cms backend? I can also provide any of my cms or ftp information if needed.

Thanks!
April

Hi April,

The error message you describe should only come up when you are running very low on disk space. What I think happened, is that you were low on disk space when you created the table "baby_guide" and , although it was created in the database, all of the CMS files weren't created correctly.

Since then, disk space must have been freed up if you are now able to add tables. If "baby_guide" still exists in your section editor, I would suggest erasing it, then recreating it. That should solve the problem.

If it doesn't, email your CMS and FTP details to me at jason @interactivetools.com and I'll take a closer look. Remember, don't post this information to the forum.

Hope this helps.

Jason,

Thanks for your help. I just sent you an email with all my information. We really don’t know what exactly happened because our disk space is no where near being full. We have only used 1.4662GIG out of 100GIG . Anyway, I think something happened on our web host and they have not been any help at all. The issue is that I still cannot correct it within the CMS backend. I cannot delete or modify those two tables in any way since this error happened. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.[/#5b5745][/#000000]

Thanks!
