Weird CMSB Problem

I have a website that has been powered by CMSB for 3 years. The version is 2.04

Recently, the webmaster was having a problem when he was updatiing a single record table, specifically the wysiwyg fields. He couldn't update, and contacted me. Upon investigation, I found that he was cutting & pasting from Word and was not stripping the Word markup.

I cleaned up the record with phpMyAdmin, but was still having problems in that the data would not display in CMSB. I therefore upgraded to v2.11 of CMSB, but the problem is still there. I cannot view the data in CMSB, but the record exists in the db.

Any ideas??

Gerry: did that. Removed all the code, and no difference.

If you create a new record do you have the same issue?

Gerry: Yup! I blasted the record away with phpMyAdmin, went into CMSB, added some minor data in the textfields only. Result: same thing - I can see the data in phpMyAdmin, but not in CMSB.

Ok, time for drastic measures. I'm going to completely delete the section editor and re-create it with a different name.

Clear the cache between changes

Try re-unzipping and re-uploading the CMSB files including the .htaccess file first

Create a test editor before you start deleting

Well, I blew away the section editor and re-created it. Seems to be working so far!
